 Dinner with the family in Santiago. I had artichokes with ham.

13 June - Madrid - near end of trip

 Went to a flamenco show

Stayed in an awful hostel but downstairs was what I called a special restaurant

  

 

2 June - Stage 8 - A Fonsagrada to O Cadevo Baleira

1 June - Stage 7 - Grandas de Salime to A Fonsagrada

Up in the mountain in a bar, met the Anglican minister and her husband.

Had a wonderful meal at Manola. Note the pulpo and the green hot peppers from Padron

 

 

31 May - Stage 6 - Berducedo to Grandas de Salime - 21km

 Very steep descent down to the dam

Capilla Santa Marina

Town of Salime was flooded in 1954. Still some signs of it.

Had a good bocadellio and ice cream for lunch at the hotel overlooking the dam.

I was the last to arrive at the albergue. Everyone was asleep in slept on the top bunk.

30 May - Stage 5 - Campiello to Berducedo - 31.7km

 That pull-system did not work. A rucksack was much easier to manage.

Such a wonderful service from the post office

Slow uphill, then STEEP downhill! A LONG day!
